Summit Search Group Announces the 2024 Pro Bono Search Initiative for Nonprofit Organizations in Manitoba
WINNIPEG November 28, 2023 — Summit Search Group, a leading executive search firm with a strong commitment to community engagement, philanthropy, and volunteerism, is thrilled to announce the launch of the 3rd Annual 2024 Pro Bono Search Initiative. Building on the success of our inaugural program in 2022 with 1JustCity, and the 2nd annual search in 2023 with Volunteer Manitoba, this initiative aims to provide vital support to nonprofit and charitable organizations in Manitoba by offering pro bono executive search services.
Background:
In 2022, Summit Search Group initiated the first of it’s kind in Manitoba, Pro Bono Executive Search program, focusing on assisting nonprofit organizations in Manitoba in finding top-tier senior professionals to advance their missions. The collaboration with 1JustCity marked the beginning of our commitment to supporting organizations facing leadership changes. In 2023, Summit Search Group partnered with Volunteer Manitoba to recruit their new Executive Director.
With over two decades of dedication to community service, philanthropy, and volunteerism, Summit Search Group is proud to extend its services free of charge to nonprofits and charities navigating the complexities of leadership transitions.
Criteria for Eligibility:
All eligible nonprofit and charitable organizations are encouraged to apply for the 2024 Pro Bono Search Initiative. To be eligible, applicant organizations must:
- Be seeking to hire a member of the senior leadership team (e.g., CEO, CFO, Executive Director, General Manager).
- Be located in the Province of Manitoba.
- Be a nonprofit or charitable organization.
- Be willing to have the executive search posted publicly.
- Not be currently engaged with another recruitment firm.
How to Apply:
To submit an application, interested organizations can follow our website for more information and the Request for Proposal that will be issued in January 2024. Applications will be reviewed by a panel of Summit Search Group team members possessing a diverse set of expertise.

- Deadline for Applications: February 23, 2024
- Review Period: January 12 – February 23
- Second Round Calls: March 1, 2024
