Summit Search Group Announces the 2025 Pro Bono Search Initiative for Nonprofit Organizations in Manitoba

WINNIPEG, January 13, 2025 — Summit Search Group, a leading professional recruitment and executive search firm committed to fostering community impact and supporting local nonprofits, is proud to announce the launch of the 4th Annual 2025 Pro Bono Search Initiative in Manitoba. Building on the momentum of the past three years, this program continues to empower nonprofit and charitable organizations in Manitoba by offering complimentary executive search services to support their leadership transitions.

A Legacy of Supporting Nonprofit Leadership

Since its inception in 2022, our Pro Bono Search Initiative has supported Manitoba’s nonprofit sector in finding exceptional leaders to advance their missions.

From our inaugural collaboration with 1JustCity to recruit a dynamic leader, to our 2023 partnership with Volunteer Manitoba to find their new Executive Director, and collaborating with the Canadian Muslim Women’s Institute in 2024, we’ve witnessed the transformative power of effective leadership in action.

At Summit Search Group, we’re deeply inspired by the critical work nonprofits do every day. As we step into 2025, we’re doubling down on our commitment to strengthening the foundations of these vital organizations through thoughtful, impactful recruitment.

Eligibility Criteria

Manitoba-based nonprofits and charities are encouraged to apply. To qualify, organizations must:

• Be seeking to hire a senior leadership role (e.g., CEO, Executive Director, CFO, General Manager).
• Operate as a registered nonprofit or charitable organization in Manitoba.
• Agree to publicly post the executive search opportunity.
• Not currently be engaged with another recruitment firm.

How to Apply

Applications will open in January 2025. A detailed Request for Proposal (RFP) will be available on our website, outlining the submission process. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, and selected organizations will be contacted for a deeper discussion about their mission and leadership needs.

Key Dates to Remember:

• Application Period Opens: January 20, 2025
• Application Deadline: February 28, 2025
• Review Period: Rolling basis from January 20 – February 28
• Second-Round Discussions: March 3 2025
