Technical Sales Representative
Summit Search Group is proud to partner with one of Canada’s leading building envelope consultants with several decades experience seeking a Technical Sales Representative based in Calgary, Alberta.
Position Summary:
The successful candidate will be responsible for prospecting and developing new client relationships and maintaining existing client relationships across Alberta and Saskatchewan (and some areas of Manitoba as required).
The ideal candidate will possess building products and construction experience, and the ability to review construction specifications and perform on site quality assurance inspections would be an asset.
Responsibilities & Expectations:
- Generate new business through prospecting, networking, referrals, and industry engagement.
- Develop and maintain relationships with property managers, facility managers, building owners, consultants, and other stakeholders.
- Effective territory management and strategize new client development.
- Conduct sales presentations, and service proposals.
- Manage sales activity and customer information through CRM and project management systems.
- Develop current client relationships through strong customer service and a solution-oriented mindset.
- Perform roof and building envelope assessments, quality assurance inspections, and site reviews.
- Prepare inspection reports, documentation, and photographic records.
- Attend client meetings, project meetings, trade shows, and regional sales meetings.
- Travel extensively throughout the assigned territory.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience in commercial roofing, building envelope systems, construction, building products, or related industries.
- Sales acumen including ability to manage territory, generate leads and win new business.
- Ability to interpret construction documents and specifications.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM software.
- Valid driver’s license with excellent driving record, reliable vehicle, and willingness to travel.
Remuneration:
