Retail Store Manager
Summit Search Group is partnered with a legacy organization with rich Alberta roots who is seeking a Retail Store Manager to oversee all facets of the high-volume Grande Prairie store. The successful candidate is a hands-on manager who excels in customer service, operational excellence and team development.
Responsibilities:
- Lead day-to-day store operations with a strong focus on safety, compliance, and operational efficiency
- Drive sales performance, revenue growth, and inventory accuracy in a high-volume retail environment
- Build, coach, and lead a high-performing, customer-centric team through effective scheduling, performance management, and talent development
- Ensure exceptional customer service, merchandising standards, and execution of sales initiatives
- Manage budgets, forecasting, reporting, and store-level financial performance
- Contribute to regional initiatives, mentor peer leaders, and support organizational growth and change
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of progressive retail management experience with strong people and financial leadership
- Post-secondary education in business, retail management, or a related field (agriculture or agribusiness considered an asset)
- Proven ability to lead large teams, manage change, and deliver results through accountability and metrics
- Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills
- Comfortable working flexible schedules, including evenings and weekends
- Valid driver’s license; ability to lift up to 25 kg; occasional travel required
