Summit Search Group is seeking an experienced Project Manager for our Client. The Project Manager (PM) is integral to the company’s long-term success, serving as a leader and effective communicator who guides project teams to successful completion. The PM oversees project lifecycles from design to turnover, ensuring adherence to quality standards, timelines, and budgets. They mentor junior staff, maintain client relationships, and drive new business opportunities through networking.
The Position:
As part of the Project Management Team, the PM collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to deliver exceptional results and uphold the company’s reputation as an industry leader. Responsibilities include project planning, risk analysis, procurement, construction oversight, and post-construction activities, all while prioritizing safety and client satisfaction.
Job responsibilities:
- Project Planning: Developing comprehensive project plans outlining scope, timelines, budget, and resources required.
- Team Leadership: Leading and motivating project teams, including subcontractors and vendors, to achieve project goals.
- Budget Management: Monitoring project finances, tracking expenses, and ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints.
- Schedule Oversight: Managing project schedules, coordinating activities, and resolving any scheduling conflicts to ensure timely completion.
- Communication: Facilitating effective communication among project stakeholders, including clients, team members, and senior management.
- Risk Management: Identifying and mitigating project risks, implementing strategies to minimize potential disruptions or delays.
- Quality Assurance: Ensuring that construction activities meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Contract Administration: Overseeing contract negotiations, preparing contracts, and managing contract compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Change Management: Evaluating and managing project changes, including scope changes, cost adjustments, and schedule modifications.
- Reporting and Documentation: Generating project progress reports, maintaining project documentation, and providing regular updates to stakeholders.
- Safety Compliance: Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, implementing safety measures, and promoting a culture of safety on the job site.
- Client Relations: Building and maintaining positive relationships with clients, addressing client concerns, and ensuring client satisfaction throughout the project.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, architecture, or a related field provides a strong foundation for this role.
- Proven experience in construction project management, typically with a minimum of 5 years in progressively responsible roles within the construction industry.
- Effective leadership abilities to lead project teams, resolve conflicts, and motivate team members to achieve project goals.
- In-depth understanding of construction methods, building codes, regulations, and industry standards, as well as proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively communicate with stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, vendors, and team members, and to negotiate contracts and resolve issues as they arise.
