The Position:
Summit Search Group has been retained by Rainbow Resource Centre on the recruitment of their newest Program Manager, Learning and Growth. Rainbow Resource Centre is a leading organization dedicated to supporting Manitoba’s 2SLGBTQ+ communities, offering essential resources, programs, and services. The Centre provides a safe and inclusive space for individuals of all ages, promoting well-being and personal development. Their services include counselling, youth programs, workshops, and social groups. As an advocate for diversity and inclusion, Rainbow Resource Centre plays a crucial role in fostering connection, education, and empowerment for the 2SLGBTQ+ community across the region.
The Program Manager, Learning and Growth leads the development and implementation of educational programs that advance knowledge, awareness, and inclusivity for 2SLGBTQ+ communities. This role ensures that learning initiatives are impactful, engaging, and accessible, fostering personal and professional growth for individuals, organizations, and community groups.
This position oversees training, workshops, and resource development, working closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure alignment with advocacy, communications, and fundraising efforts. The Program Manager enhances the Centre’s capacity to educate and inspire positive change across diverse audiences.
Key Responsibilities:
Education Development
- Design, implement, and evaluate educational programs, including workshops, training sessions, and curriculum development.
- Manages all program administration, customer service and troubleshooting of online learning platforms
- Ensure learning materials reflect best practices, current research, and the lived experiences of 2SLGBTQ+ individuals.
- Facilitate training sessions for community groups, educators, service providers, and corporate partners.
- Develop online and in-person learning opportunities to expand accessibility and engagement.
- Work collaboratively with other teams and vendors to ensure educational initiatives align with broader organizational goals.
- Develop and oversee an evaluation framework to measure the impact of learning and training initiatives.
- Track program participation, outcomes, and effectiveness to inform future improvements.
Community & Organizational Engagement
- Build partnerships with schools, businesses, government agencies, and nonprofit organizations to deliver customized training programs.
- Act as a resource for organizations seeking to create inclusive policies and practices.
- Represent the Centre at conferences, panels, and community events to promote learning initiatives.
- Gather feedback from participants and stakeholders to continuously improve programming.
- Identify funding opportunities to support program expansion and sustainability.
- Collaborate with the communications team to promote training opportunities and share success stories.
- Other related duties as assigned by, and negotiated with management
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in education, training, instructional design, or a related field.
- Proven ability to develop and facilitate engaging and inclusive learning experiences.
- Strong knowledge of equity, diversity, and inclusion principles, particularly in relation to the 2SLGBTQ+ community.
- Experience designing educational content for various audiences, including schools, workplaces, healthcare and community groups.
- Excellent facilitation and public speaking skills with the ability to engage diverse participants.
Working Conditions:
Working hours are generally Monday – Friday from 9:30am – 5:00pm. Must be willing to work flexible hours to accommodate evening, weekend, and on-call hours required for programming. This is a unionized position (CUPE 2348). Rainbow Resource Centre offers health, dental, and employee assistance plan benefits.
Salary: $27.919 – $31.441/hr ($54,000 – $61,500 annually).
