The Position:

Summit Search Group has been retained by the Manitoba LGBT* Chamber of Commerce on the recruitment of their first Program Director. The Manitoba LGBT* Chamber of Commerce is dedicated to fostering a robust Manitoba economy that both supports and is supported by diverse communities. Their mission is to cultivate, contribute to, and promote a thriving community of LGBT* owned and allied businesses, professionals, and students in Manitoba. The Chamber actively promotes business opportunities among its members and facilitates outreach to other organizations.

It advocates for pro-LGBT, business-friendly government policies and strives for equal market access for its members and their employees, with the goal of enhancing diversity in Manitoba’s economy. Additionally, the Chamber supports its members through relevant programming, education, training, and resources, contributing to the growth of financial, intellectual, and social capital in the community.

As the Program Director, you will oversee the program’s overall success and sustainability by managing all activities, leading staff, and fostering strategic partnerships. This role involves executing program operations, budgeting, recruiting participants, and reporting on performance metrics. The Program Director will work closely with the Marketing & Outreach Manager to expand community networks, recruit mentors, and oversee the digital mentorship database. They will also play a pivotal role in securing funding, partnerships, and sponsorships while ensuring program progress is communicated to funders and stakeholders effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the execution of program activities, budgeting, and long-term growth initiatives.
Lead participant recruitment efforts and ensure the program’s visibility within the community.
Establish and manage performance reporting for funds distributed to participants and the program.
Build and maintain strategic partnerships, securing sponsorships and additional funding.
Collaborate with the Marketing & Outreach Manager to enhance community networks and engagement.
Recruit and match mentors with participants, ensuring the success of mentorship connections.
Supervise website redevelopment and the development of the digital mentorship database.

Qualifications:

Post-Secondary education in Business Administration, Commerce, Marketing, or a related field.
Proven experience in program management with the strong ability to manage multiple projects.
Experience in fundraising and partnership development considered a strong asset.
