Summit Search Group is proud to partner with Structural Composite Technologies Ltd. in the recruitment of a Director of Sales. This is a key leadership opportunity to join a growing and innovative Manitoba-based manufacturer supporting industrial and utility customers across Canada.
Structural Composite Technologies is a leader in engineered fiberglass and composite solutions, delivering high-quality products that support critical infrastructure and industrial applications. With continued growth and expansion into new markets and service offerings, the organization is seeking a strategic and people-focused sales leader to drive commercial performance and build scalable sales capabilities.
The Role
Reporting to senior leadership, the Director of Sales will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategy across industrial, utilities, and emerging service and maintenance business lines. This role will lead business development initiatives, strengthen key client relationships, and support the development of high-performing sales talent.
The successful candidate will play a central role in shaping go-to-market strategy, scaling new revenue streams, and ensuring strong alignment between sales, operations, and customer delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement sales strategies to support revenue growth, margin performance, and market expansion
- Lead business development initiatives targeting new markets, channels, and product opportunities
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with key industrial and utility customers
- Oversee and support the performance and development of sales team members
- Design and scale service and maintenance sales programs, including processes, pricing, and performance metrics
- Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, finance, marketing, and service teams to ensure successful project execution
- Manage sales forecasting, pipeline development, CRM reporting, and leadership updates
- Negotiate complex commercial agreements and support contract strategy
- Represent the organization at customer meetings, industry events, and trade shows
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven B2B sales leadership experience, ideally within industrial, manufacturing, engineered products, or infrastructure-related sectors
- Demonstrated success developing and scaling sales functions or entering new markets
- Experience managing sales teams and coaching high-performing talent
- Strong track record selling complex solutions and managing long sales cycles
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and executive stakeholder management skills
- Experience using CRM systems and sales performance metrics
- Willingness to travel as required to support customer relationships and business development
