The Position:
Summit Search Group has been retained by The University of Manitoba Business School Foundation on the recruitment of their next Corporate Development Officer. The University of Manitoba Business School Foundation is the bridge between the elite members of the business community, faculty, and its students. It is THE network dedicated to expanding business and growing the economy in Manitoba.
The successful candidate will work directly with those partners in the Asper School of Business to coordinate the membership programming of The Associates, Young Associates, and its signature events – IDEA and IGNITE. You will be creative, self-motivated, and able to multi-task while maintaining relentless attention to detail and highest corporate professionalism.
As the Corporate Development Officer, you bring a significant administrative ability to directly support both the membership boards and committees, organization-wide financial documentation, reporting, and membership database management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate vendors, exhibitors, and stakeholders to plan and execute a range of high-level professional events.
- Manage event budgets and troubleshoot issues promptly within tight deadlines while maintaining adherence to financial constraints.
- Develop, secure, and manage event sponsors, partners, and guest relationships to ensure successful collaboration and participation.
- Create, develop, and implement marketing and communication materials to effectively promote products, services, or events, ensuring messaging aligns with organizational goals.
- Lead, train, and collaborate with volunteer committees and students at a high level to achieve organizational goals and foster a culture of excellence and teamwork.
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in Business, Commerce, or a related field.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, InDesign, Publisher, and various social media platforms.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, initiatives, and diplomacy to work collaboratively within a diverse environment.
- Knowledge of Asper School of Business Stakeholder relationships is considered an asset.
