About the Organization
Summit Search Group has been retained by Sakku Investments Corporation on the recruitment of a Controller. Founded in 1989 as the development arm of the Kivalliq Inuit Association (KIA), Sakku Investments is an Inuit Birthright Corporation headquartered in Rankin Inlet, Nunavut, dedicated to representing the interests of all Inuit in the Kivalliq region. The organization’s mission is to create meaningful opportunities for Inuit individuals to participate in the wage economy, while strengthening the KIA’s capacity to enhance quality of life and uphold the commitments of the Nunavut Agreement.
With involvement in over 20 businesses across six strategic pillars, Sakku operates as the economic engine of the Kivalliq region. The portfolio spans energy, health, housing, mining, telecommunications, and transportation, and includes active initiatives such as the Sakku Innovative Building Solutions (SIBS) modular housing factory, a federally funded clean energy program advancing solar and hydroelectric alternatives to diesel power, affiliated airline and sealift operations through Tagjaq, and an expanding health services division. Sakku reinvests revenues directly into Inuit communities, making its financial operations central to the region’s long-term social and economic wellbeing.

The role is based in Rankin Inlet, Nunavut, with staff housing provided, and offers a unique opportunity to contribute to an organization whose financial performance directly strengthens Inuit communities across the Kivalliq region.
