The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles to ensure safety and optimal performance. Automotive Technician Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems in a variety of vehicles, including engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and steering.
- Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks.
- Use advanced diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and address vehicle issues.
- Perform tests to verify the success of repairs and ensure vehicles are safe and roadworthy.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Provide detailed explanations to customers regarding vehicle issues, recommended repairs, and associated costs.
- Order and install replacement parts or components as needed.
- Keep accurate records of all repairs, maintenance, and inspections performed.
- Stay updated on industry advancements and new vehicle technologies.
Qualifications:
- Valid Red Seal Certification as an Automotive Service Technician.
- Proven experience in automotive repair and maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle systems, components, and diagnostics.
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools and repair equipment.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Valid driver’s license.
