The Position:

Summit Search Group has been retained by Reesink Canada Holdings Inc. on the recruitment of their next Assistant Group Controller. Summit Search Group is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Assistant Group Controller to join their finance team. Reporting directly to the Group Controller and functionally to the Director of Finance, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing their ERP and reporting systems, enhancing financial processes, and supporting both operational and financial functions.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting: Prepare internal financial and management reports, including monthly financial statements for external stakeholders, with a focus on income statement variance analysis and inventory reporting.
Audit Coordination: Collaborate with external auditors, consultants, and internal teams to facilitate the year-end audit process.
Account Reconciliation: Oversee month-end reconciliations of general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Operational Support: Address operational accounting matters and provide guidance to dealership teams as needed.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the development and management of budgets and financial forecasts.

Qualifications:

Post-Secondary Education in Finance or Accounting; CPA designation is preferred.
5+ years experience in a financial management or departmental leadership role, preferably within a high-growth organization.
Experience with CDK considered a strong asset.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
