About Our Client: Our client is a Canadian business specializing in protein procurement and supply chain services.
Position Scope:
The Accounting Manager is a dynamic, self-aware leader who thrives in a fast-paced, unstructured environment while maintaining a strong focus on detail and accuracy. Responsibilities:
- You use your impeccable attention to detail when you interact with your teammates and external partners.
- You use your professionalism and interpersonal skills to build relationships with our strategic customers to ensure a timely and accurate flow of information and transactions.
- You use your knowledge and experience to help grow the skillset of your teammates.
- You use your concise communication skills to inform and explain transactions and financial results to your teammates.
- Each week you will piece together the puzzles of cashflows, order forecasts and inventory levels. With this information, you will use your report building and presentation skills to provide information to management to use in short term decision making.
- On a monthly basis you will use your reconciliation and analysis skills to review monthly tax, depreciation, prepaid and accrual schedules, along with posting any required adjusting entries.
- You use your creativity skills to prepare new reporting that can be used to provide information to the team and for management decision making.
- You take the initiative and compile, review and present the year end schedules and items to management before sending to our external accounting partners.
- You use your time management skills to complete other regular or ad-hoc tasks.
- You enjoying being a sponge and taking in information and experiences to grow into a further advanced role in your career.

- You have held roles with increasing levels of responsibility for the health and prosperity of a team.
Education and Experience:
- CPA designation strongly preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of related experience post-designation
- Leadership experience mentoring co-workers at the beginning of their professional careers.
