This is an exciting opportunity to join a newly developed, purpose-built medical clinic focused on providing timely and patient-centered care for minor to moderate musculoskeletal injuries.
The Senior Medical Office Assistant will play a key coordination role within clinic operations, supporting patient flow, provider scheduling, and medical billing processes. This position is ideal for an experienced Medical Office Assistant who enjoys taking initiative, improving workflows, and contributing to the growth of a collaborative healthcare environment.
About Manitoba Minor Injury Clinic
Manitoba Minor Injury Clinic is a specialized medical clinic designed to address a critical gap between primary care, urgent care, and emergency departments. The clinic focuses exclusively on the assessment and management of minor to moderate musculoskeletal injuries in a structured, efficient, and patient-focused setting. Built around collaborative care, quality outcomes, and operational sustainability, the clinic brings together physicians, nurse practitioners, and rehabilitation providers to deliver coordinated and timely treatment.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage scheduling for the medical providers within the clinic
• Coordinate patient flow between the medical team and rehabilitation services
• Process and manage medical billing
• Support physicians and nurse practitioners with documentation and administrative workflows
• Assist with patient referrals and care coordination
• Help establish administrative procedures and standards as the clinic scales
• Provide mentorship or training support to new administrative staff when required
What We’re Looking For
• Previous experience working in a medical office environment
• Medical Office Assistant training or certification preferred
• Experience with medical billing
• Comfortable taking initiative and supporting clinic operations in a leadership capacity
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary clinic model
• Interest in helping establish systems and standards within a new clinical environment
