About Manitoba Minor Injury
Manitoba Minor Injury provides medical assessment and treatment for minor to moderate musculoskeletal injuries, operating as a focused alternative to urgent care and emergency departments. Care is delivered within a collaborative clinic that integrates medical and rehabilitation services under one roof.
The Role
We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner to support clinical assessment, triage, and ongoing management of minor injury cases. This is a salaried, on-site role with a clearly defined scope and strong physician collaboration. The NP will work with patients from initial assessment through treatment planning, including prescribing where permitted, documentation, and referrals to internal rehabilitation providers or external medical services when required.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct patient assessments for minor injury presentations
- Perform triage and clinical decision-making within scope
- Prescribe medications and order diagnostics as appropriate
- Complete clinical documentation and insurance-related paperwork
- Coordinate care with physicians and rehabilitation providers
What We’re Looking For
- Licensed Nurse Practitioner eligible to practice in Manitoba
- Interest in musculoskeletal and minor injury care
- Strong assessment and clinical reasoning skills
- Comfortable working within a structured, collaborative environment
- Willingness to learn and grow within a focused clinical model
