In response to this, they are looking to grow their HR team with a Senior Human Resources Business Partner. Canadian-owned and operated, Everest Solutions offers digital imaging services and products to school communities across the nation. From capturing spectacular images through school portraits, classes and groups, and graduation photography, to providing yearbooks services and spirit and team apparel.
The Position:
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and growing company within a top industry, where the HR team is highly respected and is part of the business strategy! In this role, you will partner with and learn the business and have interaction across multiple functional corporate and field teams. This position reports to the Director of Human Resources, working fully remote.
As a Senior Human Resources Business Partner, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the people strategy and driving HR excellence across the organization. This position combines strategic partnership with hands-on execution, supporting leaders and employees in areas such as employee relations, performance management, compliance, and talent development. Additionally, you will lead HRIS optimization initiatives, ensuring our systems and processes enable efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with field management to provide guidance on a wide range of HR matters, including performance management, employee development, investigations, disciplinary actions, terminations, recruitment, compensation, compliance, and policy interpretation.
- Collaborate with HR leadership to develop, implement, and ensure consistent application of HR policies across the organization.
- Manage disability, leave of absence, and workers’ compensation programs, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely communication.
- Facilitate employee-related processes (e.g., accommodations) in a legally compliant manner, ensuring accurate documentation and proper record management.
- Support the administration of benefits and retirement programs, including eligibility audits and communication with plan members.
- Manage and resolve employee relations issues by conducting thorough, objective investigations and recommending appropriate actions.
- Support performance management by coaching leaders on goal setting, feedback delivery, and employee development planning.
- Collaborate with business leaders to assess workforce needs and contribute to talent planning and organizational development initiatives.
- Provide guidance on employment legislation, regulatory requirements, and adherence to company policies.
- Facilitate training sessions on HR-related topics, including performance management, policy interpretation, and compliance expectations.
- Maintain accurate HR documentation and protect the confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Participate in HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Utilize HR systems for reporting, data analysis, compliance tracking, and decision-making support.
- Lead the planning and execution of HRIS enhancements, configuration changes, system upgrades, and integrations.
- Project-manage system changes from requirements gathering through development, testing, implementation, and post–go-live support.
- Collaborate with IT and HR stakeholders to strengthen HRIS governance and system controls.
- Identify opportunities to streamline, automate, and improve HR processes through technology and best practices.
- Ensure data integrity through routine audits, data validation processes, and system accuracy checks.
- Serve as the HRIS representative during internal audits and compliance reviews.
- Supports various HR projects and performs additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field.
- 5 – 8 years of experience in a HR generalist role including significant employee relations and employment law consultation, performance management, as well as consultation with field management on people-related issues to effectively support a field/retail distributed workforce and management team.
- Demonstrated knowledge and application of employment law.
- Demonstrated ability to critically assess employee relations issues, problem solve, make appropriate recommendations, and rive to resolution.
- Working with HR-related systems (e.g., HRIS, on-boarding, applicant tracking). Experience with HRIS implementation and BambooHR an asset.
- Working in a consultative role building effective relationships in a timely, customer-focused manner.
- Working in a cross-functional environment.
