Summit Search Group is proud to partner with our client in the recruitment of an experienced Commercial Account Executive. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and customer-focused team where you’ll build strong relationships, drive new business, and support a diverse commercial client base.
As a Commercial Account Executive, you will manage an existing book of business while actively developing new opportunities. You’ll work closely with clients, insurers, and internal teams to deliver customized insurance solutions and ensure superior customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Grow new business through prospecting, networking, and leveraging referrals
- Identify opportunities in new markets, products, and services and communicate findings to management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with your current book of business, delegating to service associates where appropriate
- Prepare accurate and professional proposals for insurers and negotiate coverage in the best interest of clients and partners
- Maintain and update client files, ensuring timely follow-ups and accurate records
- Provide clients with payment options, ensuring accounts receivable remain up to date
- Collaborate with marketing teams to support initiatives for new products and services
- Assist in handling customer claims and identify opportunities for cross-selling and referrals
- Stay current on all commercial insurance products and procedures through continuous training
Qualifications
- Minimum Level 2 Insurance License and working toward your CAIB designation
- 4+ years of commercial insurance experience
- Exceptional written, verbal, and electronic communication skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities with a focus on client solutions
- Demonstrated ability to assess risk and make sound decisions
- Proven success in setting goals, prioritizing workflow, and delivering results
- Experience delegating effectively, monitoring progress, and following up on tasks
- Self-motivated with a commitment to continuous personal and professional development
- Willingness to travel for client meetings and business growth
- Strong relationship-building expertise and superior customer service skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment as well as independently
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
