Summit Search Group has been retained by Robinson on the recruitment of their next Manager, Safety & Wellness. The Manager, Safety & Wellness plays a vital role in shaping and advancing Robinson’s culture of safety, wellness, and compliance across its locations. Reporting to the Vice President, People, this role is responsible for developing and leading workplace health, safety, and wellness programs that meet provincial standards while driving innovative approaches to injury prevention and employee well-being. With a blend of strategic oversight and hands-on involvement, the Manager will serve as a trusted advisor, trainer, and collaborator, ensuring safe practices, supporting wellness initiatives, and engaging teams across the organization. Key Responsibilities:
- Promote a comprehensive, cohesive, and impactful safety and wellness culture.
- Be the safety expert, providing accurate and reliable health and safety advice and support to our people leaders.
- Understand required provincial legislation and ensure safety compliance throughout the company.
- Research and recommend creative and innovative approaches to accident/injury prevention, education, and overall safety culture.
- Identify and implement new or modified safety practices, including policies, procedures, hazard analysis, and training.
- Collaborate with HR, training, facilities, and operations to improve safety practices and culture.
- Oversee local/branch workplace health & safety committees and audit programs in collaboration with people leaders and HR Business Partners, facilitate return to work and/or modified duties programs.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years’ experience in a management related position.
- Post-Secondary Education in Business, Commerce, Human Resources, or Safety preferred.
- CRSP designation is considered a strong asset.
- Experience developing and implementing safety programs across multiple locations.
- Demonstrated experience conducting analysis, formulating recommendations, and facilitating implementation.
- Effective communicator, including the ability to prepare reports, deliver presentations, and conduct training.
