Key Account Manager
Summit Search Group is proud to partner with an ingredient manufacturer, who offers solutions across 120 countries and varying verticals. Our client is committed to transform quality of life sustainability using applied science, and currently seeking a Key Account Manager for western Canada within animal nutrition.
As the successful Key Account Manager, you will be responsible for maintain and growing distributor relationships, growing current customer accounts and bringing on new customers, and building relationships with key players within the industry. The role requires flexibility and extensive travel by car and air throughout British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba.

Responsibilities:
- Achieve sales and gross margin, in accordance with sales targets.
- Identifying and qualifying prospective customers, conducting technical sales presentations on products and resolving customer concerns.
- Executing producer meetings to enhance brand recognition and products.
- Establishing and growing key relationships with customers and distributors .
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field (science or agriculture), master’s degree considered an asset.
- 5 + years of sales experience within animal nutrition.
- A solid understanding of animal nutrition to present technical presentations to prospective customers.
- Proven experience managing the sales pipeline to win new customers.
- Proficiency with Microsoft suite products and CRM software.
- Self-driven, ability to operate autonomously and a sense of urgency.
- Strong written and verbal communications skills.
