The Position:
Summit Search Group has been retained by a well-established automotive dealership on the recruitment of their next Service Advisor. The Service Advisor serves as a critical link between customers and the service department, acting as the first point of contact for all vehicle service and repair inquiries. This role is responsible for welcoming customers, understanding and documenting their concerns, and guiding them through the service process with clarity and professionalism. By building trust and delivering accurate, timely information, the Service Advisor ensures a seamless and positive service experience.
The Service Advisor also conducts follow-ups during and after service appointments to keep customers informed and to ensure satisfaction upon completion. Road-testing vehicles to verify issues or confirm repairs may also be required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional customer service by greeting clients promptly, actively listening to their concerns, and clearly communicating service details, timelines, and estimates throughout the repair process.
- Accurately document vehicle issues and repair needs by creating detailed service orders and collaborating with technicians to ensure clarity and efficiency in diagnosing and resolving problems.
- Coordinate service workflow effectively by scheduling appointments, managing technician availability, and ensuring timely updates to customers regarding the progress and completion of their vehicle’s service.
- Promote preventative maintenance and repair services by identifying vehicle needs and educating customers on recommended services to improve vehicle performance and longevity.
- Contribute to the service department’s success by maintaining a professional image, staying informed on warranty and insurance policies, and supporting team goals related to productivity and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in an automotive service role.
- Strong knowledge of automotive systems and general repair terminology.
- Ability to multitask in a high-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
- Comfortable working with computers and dealership software.
