The Opportunity We are currently seeking a Territory Manager to our client to help expand their footprint in the southern Alberta market. This role focuses on building new business, managing key customer accounts, and driving profitability across an assigned territory. You’ll have the opportunity to work with a wide range of industrial products and services while building lasting relationships with customers and suppliers.
Key Responsibilities:
New Business Development
Identify and pursue new opportunities within the territory, including developing business with new accounts or expanding categories within existing ones.
Work strategically to increase market share and broaden account penetration.
New business efforts are expected to represent a significant portion of your sales-focused activity.
Account Management
Maintain and grow relationships with a defined portfolio of industrial accounts.
Develop a clear understanding of each customer’s needs, service expectations, and product categories.
Increase share of wallet through strategic planning and account development.
Monitor and improve profitability of existing accounts through solution selling and value-added offerings.
Territory & Sales Planning
Use CRM systems to plan territory activities, track sales performance, and document customer interactions.
Collaborate with supplier partners and internal teams to support customer needs and sales goals.
Coordinate product knowledge sessions and joint calls with manufacturer representatives as needed.
Administrative & Support Activities
Prepare customer proposals, quotes, and respond to inquiries with the support of internal sales and contracts teams.
Participate in trade shows, industry events, and product training sessions.
Stay current on industry trends, safety protocols, and compliance regulations relevant to the role.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma required; post-secondary education in Sales, Marketing, or Business is an asset.
3–5 years of experience in industrial sales or a related B2B sales environment.
Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Knowledge of industrial products or previous experience in supply chain, manufacturing, safety, or MRO industries is considered an advantage.
Proficient in using CRM and Microsoft Office tools.
Must be self-motivated, results-driven, and comfortable working independently in a field-based role.
Remuneration for this position will consists of a base salary of $55K and a robust uncapped commission structure in addition to vehicle allowance, flexible benefit program with RRSP match.
