An exciting opportunity has become available to join our client’s team as a Territory Manager. Our client is an industry leader in the supply of industrial MRO and safety products. In this role, you will be responsible for generating sales with existing customers and developing opportunities with new customers within an assigned territory.
Key Responsibilities:
• Scheduling appointments and visiting existing customers to review product needs and
determining other opportunities.
• Providing product quotes as required.
• Organizing and attending joint sales calls with Vendors.
• Opening new accounts.
• Continuously updating customers on product changes and modifications.
• Providing solutions to customers’ problems.
• Attending Trade Shows and Conferences (if applicable).
• Product introduction of new releases.
• Liaison between customers and the company for up-to-date status of service, pricing and new product release launches.
• Preparing reports for marketing and sales and keeping expense accounts.
• Performing maintenance and updating of customers’ accounts including contact names for future sales.
• Keeping up to date on new products, services, procedures and tools by attending training and departmental meetings
• Read, understand, and follow our client’s health, safety, and environment policies and all applicable OH&S legislation/regulations.
• Actively participate in our client’s health and safety management system, including training, audits, assessments, safety meetings, and inspections.
• Identify, control, and report workplace hazards including following WHMIS/TDG requirements
and reporting near misses.
• Report workplace injuries immediately and participate in any return-to-work programs or requirements.
• Be fit for duty and physically capable of performing all required tasks.
Required Qualifications:
• High School Diploma required.
• Post-Secondary courses in Sales and/or Marketing an asset.
• Product knowledge or industry experience an asset.
• The ability to meet deadlines and prioritize workload in a very fast paced environment.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record
