About Our Client: Our client is a leader in seasoning, flavours and functional ingredients serving the food and beverage industry.
Position Scope:
Under the supervision of the Director of Sales, the incumbent will be responsible to maintain, identify and increase new profitable business opportunities with established and future prospective clients. This role involves increasing company revenue by generating sales from new and existing customers. To this end, the Account Manager will identify, qualify, and close accounts seeking the organizations products and services. The incumbent will provide product knowledge and suggestions to satisfy the clients need.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manage customer portfolio (regional distributors and direct accounts), forecasting and projects.
- Develop sales goals for territory or area; manage all aspects of strategic sales initiatives for these regions.
- Increasing sales by acquiring and focusing on potential new accounts and up selling established accounts based on a vigorous deployment program.
- Preparing sales budgets for designated territories.
- Ensuring that territory margins and sales goals are met.
- Preparing reports of monthly sales highlights, opportunity grids, etc.
- Ensuring that established clients are satisfied and building new relationships with future prospective clients.
- Providing on-site technical service and commercial support with established and new clients.
- Initiate customer projects on a technical basis.
- Demonstrating and educating clients on usage of new products.
- Quoting prices, credit terms and preparing new sales contracts.
- Provide input and assist in development of presentations and other marketing collateral.
- Identify and resolve risks associated with the delivery and/or provision of customer contracts; manage client expectations throughout the contract.
- Ensure overall client satisfaction.
- Conduct and develop quarterly and annual account reviews in order to effectively manage account lifecycles.
- Analyze, assess, and document client results to ensure customer needs are being met.
- Promote awareness of new products and services to accounts.
- Being informed and aware of new products, applications, technical services, market conditions, competitive activities, advertisement and promotional trends through literature, internet and by consulting with technical services.
- Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) regulations applicable in the plant.
- Follow company policies and procedures.
- Follow the instructions in the Quality Commitment Manual.
- Always comply with SQF food standards and procedures.
- Performing all other duties as assigned.
Skills & Qualifications:
- University degree in food sciences or other related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated sales success within the food and/or manufacturing industry.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally & in writing.
- Ability to write clear and concise value proposition statements.
- Able to work well under pressure.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Skilled at assessing client needs, developing proposals, and delivering solutions.
- Excellent negotiation and diplomacy skills, with a high degree of tact and persuasiveness.
- Excellent speaking skills, including presentation experience to diverse audiences.
- Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills.
- Excellent analytical skills & capacity to think out of the box.
- Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with corporate departments, key business partners, other stakeholders.
