Our client is a growing and well‑established organization with ambitious expansion plans. They are seeking a full‑time Service Manager to join their team and play a key role in driving operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and team performance. This position is based on-site in Burlington, Ontario.
This is a hands‑on management role focused on operational execution, people leadership, and service delivery excellence. This is a leadership opportunity for someone who wants to grow with the organization and be rewarded for their success.
Some of your key responsibilities in this role will include:
- Learning and growing as an integral part of a team that values both its people and its customers.
- Collaborating with local leadership to plan, budget, and deliver against P&L targets.
- Ensuring staffing plans are forecasted, updated, and executed to maximize customer service levels and meet service commitments.
- Measuring, monitoring, and driving achievement of key operational metrics, including providing regular reporting and analysis.
- Leading and supporting a mindset that drives customer satisfaction and long‑term business growth.
- Coaching, developing, and managing a team of technical professionals to maximize performance, engagement, and achievement of objectives.
- Driving excellence through third‑party partners by identifying, selecting, and negotiating agreements with partners aligned to company strategy and goals.
- Managing third‑party relationships to ensure vendors meet defined performance metrics and service standards.
- Performing regular reviews of cost, quality, safety, and productivity metrics, and executing improvement plans through goal setting, observation, coaching, and performance reviews.
- Partnering with cross‑functional stakeholders including Quality, Project Management, Training, HR, and Regulatory to continuously improve team and operational performance.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the HVAC industry with strong technical knowledge of HVAC equipment.
- Gas Fitter license is considered an asset.
- 3–5 years of proven operational leadership experience delivering against formalized objectives.
- Demonstrated ability to develop, coach, and lead technical professionals to achieve their full potential.
- Proven success in attracting, retaining, and developing top talent.
- Strong competitive awareness with the ability to coach teams accordingly.
- Experience introducing new initiatives to drive ongoing growth.
- Ability to align corporate goals with individual performance objectives.
- High level of self‑awareness and emotional intelligence.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
