Senior Systems and Firmware Engineer
About the Role
We are seeking an innovative and experienced Senior Systems and Firmware Engineer to lead the development of advanced hardware and software solutions in a transformative industry. This role focuses on creating state-of-the-art IoT and AI-enabled platforms that optimize operational efficiency, enhance safety, and promote sustainability.
In this position, you will spearhead system architecture and firmware development for complex systems that collect, process, and transmit data from field equipment to the cloud. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you’ll ensure reliable, high-performance delivery of data for real-time decision-making applications.
What You’ll Do
- Lead architecture, design, and implementation of embedded systems for high-reliability applications.
- Develop and optimize Linux-based software platforms, ensuring security, robustness, and scalability.
- Integrate firmware with hardware components and sensors to achieve top-tier performance.
- Design and manage data pipelines from edge devices to cloud environments in collaboration with the software team.
- Implement rigorous testing, debugging, and documentation processes for hardware and firmware.
- Stay at the forefront of emerging technologies, driving innovation and applying best practices.
What You’ll Bring
- 10+ years of leadership experience in embedded systems engineering.
- Expertise in C, C++, and Python, with deep knowledge of Linux-based systems.
- Proven success in communication protocols (CAN, Ethernet, SPI, I2C, etc.) and advanced debugging.
- Strong grasp of network programming (TCP/IP, UDP) and IoT protocols (MQTT, CoAP).
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset and excellent project leadership skills.
- Knowledge of AI integration and cloud platforms (Azure) is a plus.
