Our client is a leader in the investment management space.
Position Scope:
Reporting to the Senior Director, People & Culture, the Senior Manager, People & Culture/HRBP (Senior Manager) plays a key role in executing strategic HR programs and solutions. The Senior Manager will bring strong knowledge of employment standards and will act as a trusted advisor to leaders within the business. This role will be responsible for leading, coaching, and mentoring a team of HR professionals.
The successful candidate will bring broad-based experience in Employee Relations, Talent Management, Talent Acquisition, and Total Rewards.
Responsibilities:
Strategic HR Leadership
- Understand business strategies and identify value-added people strategies and solutions that support business goals (e.g. leadership development, resourcing, employee relations strategies, culture and engagement).
- Maintain awareness of emerging trends and best practices in the external environment to inform the development of people strategies.
- Build trusted partnerships with senior leaders and lead the HR team in providing counsel, expertise, and solutions that support business partners in achieving their goals.
- Act as a coach and trusted advisor to leaders on a range of issues including people strategies, resourcing, performance management and organizational changes.
- Lead development and oversee implementation of strategic HR projects such as employee learning programs and leadership development.
Employee Relations & Engagement
- Provide Employee Relations consultation to leaders on performance management and employee development.
- Investigate employee complaints, grievances, and workplace issues, ensuring fair and timely resolution through mediation and other interventions.
- Manage sensitive and complex matters through individual coaching and effective group facilitation.
- Lead Employee Engagement initiatives including survey participation and action planning.
- Ensure strong employee engagement across all business verticals, with a focus on improving team dynamics and organizational culture.
- Apply, implement (where applicable), and communicate HR policies, procedures, and practices to foster a positive work environment.
Talent Acquisition & Talent Management
- Lead recruitment strategies and processes for key positions within the organization.
- Develop and execute Talent Acquisition strategies including assessment tools, third-party recruiters, and onboarding programs.
- Manage the talent review and succession planning process in collaboration with business leaders.
Learning & Development
- Lead learning, training, and development programs for managers and employees.
- Identify training needs and manage vendor relationships to deliver effective development solutions.
Total Rewards Oversight
- Participate in Total Rewards programs including compensation, benefits, and payroll.
Team Leadership
- Provide leadership, direction, and coaching to the HR team to deliver quality strategic and operational advice and support to leaders and employees.
Required Skills and Knowledge:

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Human Resources or Business
- CHRP/CHRL designation
- 8+ years of progressive Human Resources experience
- Team leadership experience
- Experience in the Real Estate industry is considered an asset
