Senior IT Manager – SAP Business Systems
Location: Surrey, BC (On-Site)
Our client, a rapidly growing North American distributor serving major retail and consumer markets, is seeking an experienced Senior IT Manager – SAP Business Systems to lead technology strategy and operations across the organization.
This is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing the entire IT environment while ensuring technology supports business growth, operational efficiency, and system reliability across multiple locations.
A key focus of this role will be ownership and strategic leadership of the SAP Business One ecosystem and its critical integrations, making it an ideal opportunity for a technology leader who combines strong operational IT management with deep ERP expertise.
The Opportunity
As the Senior IT Manager – SAP Business Systems, you will lead all aspects of IT including infrastructure, cybersecurity, enterprise applications, and service delivery. You will partner closely with senior leadership and operational teams to ensure technology supports the company’s distribution, logistics, and supply chain operations.
You will also play a central role in shaping the company’s technology roadmap and driving key IT initiatives that support a growing multi-location business.
Key Responsibilities
IT Leadership & Strategy
- Develop and execute an IT roadmap aligned with business growth objectives
- Lead and manage all IT operations including infrastructure, cybersecurity, telecom, and service delivery
- Act as the primary technology leader and advisor to the business
- Manage the IT budget, vendor relationships, and technology governance
- Establish and maintain IT policies, security standards, and compliance practices
SAP Business One Leadership
- Serve as the internal subject matter expert and owner of the SAP Business One platform
- Lead SAP B1 enhancements, upgrades, integrations, and optimization initiatives
- Oversee integrations with warehouse management, transportation, and EDI systems
- Maintain system configuration standards, customization governance, and data integrity
- Manage relationships with SAP partners and implementation vendors
Project & Team Leadership
- Lead business-critical IT initiatives from planning through execution
- Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing IT team spanning infrastructure, applications, and user support
- Foster a collaborative and service-oriented IT culture
- Ensure technology solutions align with operational and business requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related discipline
- 7+ years of progressive IT experience with at least 3 years in a leadership role
- Experience supporting multi-site North American operations preferred
- Strong hands-on experience with SAP Business One, including implementation, administration, and integrations
- Experience leading or participating in full lifecycle ERP implementations or upgrades
- Strong understanding of enterprise systems supporting finance, logistics, warehousing, and inventory operations
- Proven leadership, stakeholder management, and project delivery skills
- PMP or similar project management certification is considered an asset
