Role: Regional Sales Manager – Elemex Architectural Facades
Key Responsibilities:
The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for leading market development initiatives, building sales, and managing customer, installer and rep relations. This individual will identify, develop and support superior sales talent and will work with the sales team to drive market penetration of the ELEMEX lineup of exterior façade panels.
- Develop, communicate and support a comprehensive market plan for each market area within the region focused on promoting the ELEMEX product line-up and driving product adoption by architects, developers, contractors, and installers.
- Expand the existing sales team. Recruit, train and implement a network of high performance architectural sales agents/direct sales team through recruiting and retaining quality sales talent.
- Effectively communicate the ELEMEX market strategy to potential installer partners.
- Identify and develop installation capacity ahead of demand and implement the Certified Installer Network operating model in the region.
- Identify high potential National Key Accounts domiciled within the region.
- Work along side the Vice President of Sales to foster strong senior level relationships with these accounts to secure high value, repetitive business.
- Develop regional sales and margin targets and sales operations budgets.
- Coach, motivate and lead the sales team of independent reps to achieve or exceed targets.
- Create training plans and deliver training for sales representatives including various façade systems offered by Elemex, the ELEMEX 360° Advantage®, the Unity System®, and all facets of CRM.
- Provide input and analysis on the effectiveness of national sales and marketing programs.
- Provide input and analysis on regional or local sales programs.
- Prepare regional sales forecasts and weekly and/or monthly status reports.
- Develop, prepare, and deliver sales materials, trade show exhibits, conference appearances, and other promotional programs.
Experience Requirements
- Strong sales leadership to build loyalty and long-term relationships with sales teams and customers.
- Strong internal collaborator and communicator developing exceptional working relationships with Technical Inside Sales, Estimators, Project Managers, CRM Administrator, Marketing Coordinator, and others as needed to operate, manage, and execute at a high level.
- Above average oral, written, and presentation skills. Proven ability to develop, inspire and manage a regionally based sales team.
- Demonstrated success working with independent architectural representatives/sales agents is preferred. 3+ years of achieving / surpassing sales quotas in a player / coach role. Process oriented with a proven bias for action and results.
- Experience traveler with the ability and willingness to travel within given geography in US and Canada. Expected average travel 60%.
Career Qualifications and Education
- A progressive career track that demonstrates expanding levels of responsibility, significant accomplishments in business development/sales management and a passion for achieving success.
- Excellent management and problem-solving skills, able to manage multiple projects and development cycles simultaneously.
- Experience in the sale of architectural/building products and a strong network of relationships in the commercial construction industry and architectural field is required.
- Experience introducing a new business and or a new product into the marketplace is preferred.
- A university degree or equivalent. A business degree would be an asset.
