About Our Client:
Our client is a recognized market leader in the consumer products and home solutions space, known for its strong brand portfolio, innovation and partnerships with major national retailers and digital commerce platforms.
Position Scope: (20-Month Contract)
The Quotations Specialist – Inside Sales creates the project pipeline nationally in the ongoing development of existing and prospective customers. Coordinates project quotations for residential, commercial and industrial “requests for proposals” (RFP). Provides pricing, product advice and support to the wholesale sales team, and to wholesaler quotation groups. This position is the key liaison between customers and the company to meet the customers’ specification requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Generate, qualify, enter, and follow up on leads and convert into opportunities.
- Review, evaluate, and update sales quotations for accuracy and completeness.
- Oversee day-to-day support for the plumber points program, including member registration, issue resolution, and program communication.
- Respond to customer RFP documents by preparing and providing comprehensive quotations for bids and tenders on all residential, commercial, and industrial applications with commercial products across Canada.
- Review, research and analyze pricing to make recommendations on price enhancements and margin opportunities.
- Complete research into comparable competitive products and specifications to ensure accurate quotations using the company’s equivalent products.
- Project estimating utilizing complex Excel spreadsheets.
- Coordinates all requests for product information including product specifications, pricing and quantities.
- Generate, analyze and monitor reports for all bid-related activities measuring success rate and margin implications.
- Liaises with other departments, particularly Wholesale Sales Team, Marketing and Planning, and Customer Service to ensure a complete and accurate quotation and specification package.
Required Skills and Knowledge:
- Self-starter with excellent time management skills, sense of urgency, and evidence of coordinating multiple projects simultaneously.
- A proven track record of superior customer service.
- Highly organized with strong capability in technical analysis and attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and maintain positive relationships with all internal and external customers.
- Bilingual in French and English is an asset.
- Possess good listening and communication skills, as well as energy, enthusiasm, and endurance.
- Strong ability to prioritize and perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Education and Experience:
- Post secondary education in business, sales, engineering, construction technology or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in the plumbing industry; preferably in the commercial segment.
- Experience in coordinating complex sales or bid proposal documents is an asset.
- Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office programs (Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) are a must.
- Be familiar with Pivot Tables and V-Lookups.
- SAP, Qliksense and C4C experience are an asset.
