Project Coordinator

On behalf of our client in the commercial construction industry, we are looking for a Project Coordinator in Halifax. Reporting to Project Manager, the Project Coordinator is responsible for technical and clerical duties, providing coordination with Site Superintendents, Clients, Consultants and Subcontractors. The Project Coordinator will plan, direct, monitor, and control the on-site activities, Subcontractors, and Suppliers in order to achieve the project objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the on-site project activities, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Coordinate project workflow with Project Managers and Superintendents.
- Ensure the latest revision of construction documents are in use.
- Control project documentation and information flow.
- Plan ahead to foresee problems and procure materials well enough in advance to avoid schedule delays and rush orders.
- Other relevant duties related to project requirements as needed.
The Ideal Candidate Brings:
- A degree or diploma in a relevant field.
- Completion of CET or CAT training.
- Ability to adapt with the fast paced and changing environment of the construction industry.
- Excellent computer skills and the ability to read and understand construction drawings.
- Strong communication, decision making, and time management skills.
- Exceptional team work and interpersonal skills.
