Product Sales Specialist – Western Canada
Our client is one of Canada’s largest specialty medical device organizations that takes great pride in achieving continual technological progress and representing the most recognized and trusted products. Their focus is to provide unparalleled value, support, and service and offer the best technology solutions and pricing for healthcare professionals in hospitals from coast to coast. Due to exciting growth and expansion, this is a newly created role for a Product Sales Specialist in Western Canada, based in Calgary or Edmonton, 50% travel from BC to Manitoba is required.
This is a hybrid role with a dual focus on sales and business development plus clinical application support. The Product Sales Specialist collaborates with the Western Canada sales team of 4 reps on all aspects of sales planning, business strategizing, and developing marketing initiatives to drive business, identify new opportunities, and increase capital sales within hospital accounts. In this role you are also responsible to provide excellent product training and clinical application support for all customers at all stages of the business cycle, including evaluations and installations, and developing effective product launch plans for new accounts.
Qualified candidates must possess a track record of success within the medical device industry, capital equipment preferred along with a Bachelor’s degree. Personality wise; you are a driven, highly motivated and sales focused professional with strong business acumen and a sales hunting mindset – lets talk! Other requirements include excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate complex technical ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences, excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, ability to work both independently and as part of a team, and collaborate with cross-functional teams, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Compensation includes a salary of $80-90K, lucrative performance bonus based on achievement of KPIs, and commissions based on capital sales with first year total income potential of $150K, plus car package, health benefits and RRSP matching.
