PeopleSoft Functional Analyst

Our client, a global technology consulting and digital transformation firm, is seeking a PeopleSoft Functional Analyst to support enterprise financial system initiatives within a large and complex PeopleSoft environment.
This role will focus primarily on PeopleSoft Financials (General Ledger) and will work closely with both business stakeholders and technical teams to support system enhancements, implementations, and ongoing operational improvements.
The Opportunity
The PeopleSoft Functional Analyst will play a key role in supporting and optimizing PeopleSoft Financials modules, particularly within the General Ledger environment. The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, translate business needs into functional solutions, and support system improvements across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide functional support and expertise across PeopleSoft Financials General Ledger modules
- Support key processes including Journal Processing, Multicurrency, Allocations, Period Close, Consolidation, and Interunit accounting
- Gather and document business requirements and translate them into functional specifications
- Develop and maintain functional and technical design documentation
- Work closely with technical teams to support system configuration, enhancements, and integrations
- Assist with PeopleSoft upgrades and maintenance activities, including PUM updates
- Support development and maintenance of nVision and BI Publisher reports
- Participate in system integration activities and external interface configuration
- Troubleshoot system issues and support production environments
- Support development of Fluid components including Tiles and Homepage features
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across functional, technical, and testing groups
- Support change management processes and release cycles
What We Are Looking For
- Experience supporting PeopleSoft Financials implementations, particularly General Ledger
- Strong functional knowledge of GL processes including journals, allocations, multicurrency, and period close
- Experience working within enterprise PeopleSoft environments
- Familiarity with PeopleTools and PeopleSoft Financials upgrade tools (PUM)
- Experience supporting nVision and BI Publisher reporting
- Strong understanding of system integrations and external interfaces
- Solid SQL experience for data troubleshooting and analysis
- Experience working with web services integrations
- Familiarity with change control tools such as PHIRE or STAT
- Strong communication, documentation, and stakeholder collaboration skills
