Our client is an innovative and growing Alberta commercial construction company. This is a full-time position working out of the company’s Calgary office. We are looking for someone who can deliver under pressure in a rewarding team-focused environment.
Reporting directly to the President, the Office Manager is a highly valued member of the team. The Office Manager is an essential role in the life cycle of every project undertaken by the company. They will oversee the methods, and general framework to analyse the schedule and timeline of a project. The successful candidate will have the enthusiasm and positive attitude to thrive in a challenging and fast paced environment.
The office manager ensures that all financial transactions are entered into the company ERP system and have been processed according to the corporate financial guidelines. This position oversees the timely, accurate, processing of payroll processing. General administrative tasks include managing paper flow for hiring, office management and support and other support tasks as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Complete all daily administrative and office management related tasks to ensure productivity of the office and current staff
- Oversee the daily allocation of work tickets from completed jobs for accurate payroll and company records
- Support accounts payable/receivable procedures – allocating bills to the proper accounts effectively and on time
- Prepare weekly management reports to keep all operational tasks and personnel on track
- Become an ERP specialist on the company’s Jonas Software System
- Other duties as required
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Office manager or relevant role
- Previous experience working in a construction or project-driven environment an asset
- Bookkeeping experience would be a strong asset
- Experience with AP/AR
- Familiarity with company operating systems
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office applications
