National Sales Manager-Industrial Distribution
Our client, a leader within the industrial distribution sector, is looking for a National Sales Manager to join their growing team.
This role will be responsible for creating consistency throughout our sales network in both the implementation and execution of our sales tools and strategies. Coaching, training and developing, along with motivating and supporting the sales development of the Territory Managers.
Responsibilities:
- Promote and embody the Vision, Mission and Values of the Company
- Coaching, training and development of indirect reports
- Motivating and encouraging sales team to meet and exceed quotas
- Assist with the implementation of sales tools and strategic sales initiatives
- Analyzing sales performance to help develop and implement strategies for areas of improvement
- Sales planning and identifying opportunities for growth, including areas of interest for customer-based expansion
- Communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization.
- Assist with the recruiting, on-boarding, objective setting and development of Territory Managers
- Partner with Territory Managers on sales calls/presentations to ensure consistency in approach, utilization of our tools, and customer service needs are being met
- Lead regular meetings with sales team, both group and one on one setting
- Aid VP Sales and Branch Managers with sales directives, reporting, and performance through the Territory Managers
- Proven ability to drive the sales process forward from plan to close
Requirements:
- 7+ years of managing and developing a successful sales team
- Industrial Distribution experience is an asset
- Post Secondary Education is preferred
- Ability to travel up to 35-50% depending on the month
