They work in close partnership with a vast array of medical professionals, healthcare dealers, and other medical channels to provide technical product expertise, training, and support. In this role you will manage and grow the medical business in the province of Saskatchewan (30% travel is required), strategically grow existing accounts and source new business opportunities by building sustainable relationships with key customers that act as prescribers and influencers.
Responsibilities include:
- Work with specialized HCPs in specialty clinics such as ortho, chiro and physio, and with surgeons and nurses in hospitals, and a variety of home healthcare dealers and retail pharmacies to grow sales of prescribed products.
- Detail, educate and train medical professionals and key influencers, assist with patient issues as required, and be the “go to” person within this category.
- Continuously prospect for new business while increasing productivity in territory through the achievement of quotas and performance standards.
- Collaborate with colleagues to manage and lead at conferences, educational seminars, and special customer events to raise awareness of this category and provide technical product education and training.
- Utilize electronic sales reporting system to track sales calling activity (monthly visits, in-service calls, cold calls, etc.).
Qualifications include a university degree with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in outside sales and a proven track record of previous success exceeding specific and targeted metrics. This role is well suited for an energetic people-person, a relationship builder, and a strategic communicator capable of creating value, delivering personalized service and building customer and brand satisfaction and loyalty. Compensation includes a salary of $65K plus commissions with total income potential of $90-110K, car allowance, gas card, and health benefits.
