As In-House Legal Counsel, you’ll join a collaborative, fast-paced team where no two days are the same. From acquisitions and international law to regulatory matters and complex commercial contracts, you’ll be at the center of it all—gaining broad exposure and making a real impact.
On behalf of our client, we’re seeking a Lawyer in Halifax to support a passionate in-house legal team within the aviation industry. In this role, you’ll work closely with C-suite and senior leadership across multiple subsidiary companies, contributing strategic legal guidance in a rapidly evolving sector.

Key Responsibilities:
- Applying legal expertise to everyday aviation challenges in furtherance of subsidiary operations and team goals.
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating supplier and customer contracts consistent with industry practice.
- Liaising with our in-house lawyers and corporate paralegal to prepare regulatory filings and responses.
- Using your superior eye for detail to spot inconsistencies and errors.
- Supporting our subsidiaries’ important aviation-related work in an open and collaborative setting.
- Exhibiting professionalism in all aspects of practice.
The Ideal Candidate Brings:
- Practicing membership in good standing of any provincial or territorial law society in Canada.
- A keen interest in a wide range of aviation-related matters
- Excellent legal writing skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Superior client service skills and strong communication skills, including the ability to communicate with tact and diplomacy.
- be highly organized, self-motivated and proactive, and able to advance work independently.
- A team-oriented mindset with exceptional interpersonal and collaboration skills.
- A strong work ethic, a positive attitude and a commitment to shared success.
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and other Microsoft applications.
