We are seeking a strategic and experienced HR Manager to lead the full scope of human resources operations within a multi-location environment. This is a key leadership role that requires both big-picture thinking and tactical execution. The successful candidate will serve as a trusted advisor to leadership, working to align HR strategy with business goals, champion employee engagement, and foster a culture of performance and accountability.
The ideal candidate brings strong expertise in labor relations, organizational development, and strategic planning. They are a confident communicator, capable of managing complex employee matters while influencing change and delivering results in a unionized setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic HR leadership and contribute to long-term organizational planning.
- Partner with senior leadership to align HR strategy with overall business objectives.
- Lead and mentor a team of HR professionals, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Manage labor relations, including union contract interpretation, grievance resolution, and collective bargaining support.
- Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and compliance frameworks.
- Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and employee retention strategies across multiple sites.
- Lead performance management and employee development initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with all employment legislation and collective agreements.
- Prepare and present strategic HR reports and workforce insights to executive leadership.
- Support change management, organizational development, and employee engagement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a senior HR role – CPHR Designation would be an asset.
- Demonstrated success in leading HR strategy and driving organizational outcomes.
- Strong knowledge of labor relations, including experience with union negotiations and grievance processes.
- Effective team leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building abilities.
- Proficient in HR systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strategic problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a high level of discretion.
- Valid driver’s license and flexibility to work non-office hours as required.
