About Our Client: Our client is a leader in the industrial/heavy equipment industry.
Position Scope:
The HR Business Partner is recognized as a senior-level HR expert, providing business leadership/guidance to ensure organizational priorities/goals are successfully achieved. The HRBP will develop and implement effective programs, solutions and initiatives and participate in the development of strategies that are aligned to business plans. The HRBP will also promote a culture of safety, strong performance, accountability, employee loyalty/engagement, and customer service /experience excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Drive HR functional excellence by recommending, shaping, and implementing effective and creative programs and solutions to achieve business plan goals and objectives.
- Partner with business leaders and employees in the deployment of core HR processes and initiatives, including leadership development, employee loyalty, rewards and recognition, recruiting etc.
- Supporting/partnering on H&S, Wellness priorities, knowledgeable of benefits /total compensation/compensation model, etc.
- Change leadership to support clients and employees with organizational, strategic, and technological changes; this requires agility, empathy and coaching to enable and support the adoption of change in a positive way.
- Provides leadership guidance and mentoring to all levels in the organization.
- Builds organizational capability by driving talent management processes, including recruiting, onboarding, performance management, and organizational and employee development; succession planning; and participating in business planning meetings as required.
- The HR Partner will elevate the capability of the leadership team by acting as an active coach and advisor for the leadership teams; holding leaders accountable to the highest possible standard of human engagement and support.
- Fosters positive employee relations and an optimal work environment while promoting a culture of accountability and engagement throughout the employee life cycle.
- Exemplifies and promotes behaviors and practices consistent with the organization’s values, philosophy and ethics (e.g. through established policies, procedures and governance protocols
- Shares best practices with the HR Team by developing, documenting and standardizing sustainable processes.
- Maintains and reports on HR Metrics (STD/LTD, Recruiting, attrition, etc.) – Data analytics is becoming increasingly critical in all aspects of an organization, and Human Resources is no exception. The HR Partner will provide headlights to the business using important trends and data insights that help shape actions, strategies and initiatives linked to fact-based decisions.
- Continuously develops knowledge and capability in Human Resources by participating and embracing ongoing learning, new technologies, and emerging best practices in the area of human capital management.
- Responsible for managing HR legislative compliance (e.g. Employment Standards, Human Rights, etc.) in relation to people/business practices within the organization.
- Execution of HR Processes in alignment with company policies, procedures and practices.
- Responsible for influencing the selection/hiring, development, and termination of employees.
- Responsible for influencing Strategies and initiatives to address organizational “people” challenges and create opportunities for improved business outcomes via engaging people initiatives.
- Responsible for influencing all aspects of employee life cycle by providing guidance and direction (both proactively and reactively).
Education & Experience:
- Post-secondary degree or diploma, with a concentration in Human Resources Management; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 5-7 years’ Human Resources experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of all HR functions, including, but not limited to, employee/labour relations, recruitment, health and safety, disability management, compensation, benefits, and training.
- Strong knowledge of relevant human resources legislation and application.
- CHRP designation (or in progress) is an asset.
- French English Bilingualism is considered an asset.
