Our client is an innovative Canadian company specializing in healthcare software solutions. They are seeking a Sales Executive to join their team full‑time in a hybrid working arrangement in Toronto, Ontario.
The Sales Executive will leverage their deep, pre-existing network within the Canadian healthcare sector. This is a “founding” sales role with the autonomy to build a market from the ground up. The Sales Executive will be the first point of contact for our client’s most strategic accounts and will work directly with the founding team.
Some of your key responsibilities in this role will include:
- Act as the first “founding” sales hire, working directly with the leadership team on messaging, sequences, and target segmentation.
- Own the full sales cycle from lead to close, including prospecting, conducting product demonstrations, and negotiating contracts.
- Strategically leverage your existing network of healthcare decision-makers (e.g., in HR, Operations, and Administration) to generate a high-velocity pipeline of qualified opportunities.
- Execute high-volume, multi-channel outreach (call, email, social media, in-person, etc.) to both your existing warm network and new “cold” target accounts.
- Become a subject matter expert on our client’s platform, articulating the value proposition to healthcare providers and understanding their specific needs.
- Secure and conduct a high volume of quality meetings and product demonstrations weekly.
- Maintain meticulous and accurate records of all sales activities, lead statuses, and pipeline updates within the CRM system.
- Contribute ideas, systems, and outbound experiments, learning fast from the results in a true startup environment.
- Documenting, implementing, and communicating best practices & processes in sales.
Qualifications:
- 3-5+ years of experience in a B2B SaaS sales executive role, with a proven track record of exceeding quota.
- Demonstrable experience selling software or technical services directly into Canadian healthcare organizations (hospitals, nursing homes, clinics, etc.).
- Requirement: A verifiable, pre-existing, and leverageable network of decision-makers (e.g., HR Managers, Administrators) and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) within the target Canadian healthcare market.
- A proven track record of building a sales territory from scratch and consistently achieving aggressive targets.
- Grit, perseverance, and a self-starter attitude; you must be comfortable with the high pace and “lack of structure” of an early-stage startup and thrive on autonomy.
- Expertise with modern sales tech stacks (e.g., CRM like Salesforce/HubSpot, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Outreach/Apollo).
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling, personalized outreach.
