Finance & Controlling Analyst
Our client is a global leader providing innovative solutions within the energy sector. They are seeking a Finance & Controlling Analyst to support Canadian operations and contribute to North American financial leadership.
Position Overview
This role is responsible for financial reporting, budgeting, and analysis across multiple revenue streams. Reporting to the VP, Controlling, the successful candidate will also support the Country Manager and partner closely with Commercial and Operations teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare weekly and monthly financial reporting for leadership
- Analyze performance and deliver insights across business lines
- Lead annual budgeting and support forecasting activities
- Prepare monthly P&Ls and business reporting packages
- Collaborate with shared services on month-end close, reconciliations, and accruals
- Align financial forecasts with operational and commercial inputs (S&OP)
- Support inventory processes and financial dashboards
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting, processes, and overall financial performance
- Provide ad hoc analysis to support business decisions
- Travel in this position is minimal (10%)
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Engineering, or related field
- CPA Designation is an asset
- 3-5 years of experience in finance, accounting, or controlling
- Strong understanding of financial statements and reporting
- Experience with budgeting and forecasting
- Advanced Excel skills; ERP experience (e.g., SAP) preferred
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Compensation & Benefits
