Introduction
Our industry leading mining client is seeking a Director, Services Sales – Western Canada to join their mineral processing sales team. You will be responsible to guide a team of self-driven sales expert in defining unique solutions to maximize our customers comminution process. Your role plays a crucial part in working with your team to develop a game plan enabling them to succeed on all fronts and become the reference in the industry. This position is preferably located in British Columbia and/or maybe Alberta but we are happy to offer flexible working arrangements, including hybrid options. however, it involves up to 50% travel to customer sites.
Team you belong to
You will join a team of sale experts dedicated to leading a team of sales representatives and other professionals in promoting the companies specialty mining offerings throughout its customer base. We are currently developing and managing sales activities for the region, guided by Market Area goals and objectives to achieve sales quota for the region.
What you’ll do
• Reporting and forecasting on the sales results and performance of the region.
• Coordinating customer satisfaction program (NPS) activities
• Analyzing results and defining proper win plan for strategic opportunities to meet targets
• Establishing sales objectives by analyzing markets and projecting orders/sales volumes
• Maintaining sales volume by tracking key performance indicators such as economic indicators
• Keeping up-to-date with developments, trends, and advancements related to sales and marketing
• Identifying strengths / weaknesses and teaching relevant skills, tactics and techniques.
• Maintaining, nurturing and leveraging relationships with key decision makers of all accounts.
• Contributing to local strategy, market development, and sales competency development initiatives.
• Mentoring, training, and hiring site account managers as required
• Undertaking administrative tasks
• Up to 50% to customer sites, Industry events or internal meetings
Who you are
• 5-10 years’ experience in heavy industry sales preferably with mineral processing equipment and/or related products
• Mechanical or Industrial Engineering degree or equivalent work experience
• Strong knowledge of comminution and beneficiation processes and applications.
• Excellent oral/written communication, organizational, problem-solving & troubleshooting skills required.
• Experience working in a customer-focused and service-oriented environment.
