The Opportunity
To help propel our growth forward, we’re seeking an analytical, driven, and visionary Chief Financial Officer. In this pivotal role, you’ll work closely with the CEO, business development, and operations teams to enhance efficiencies, elevate financial reporting, and shape our corporate strategy. This is a golden opportunity for an ambitious CFO to make a significant mark within a thriving, forward-thinking organization.
What You Will Do
As CFO, you will oversee the administrative, financial, and risk management functions of the company. You’ll develop and monitor control systems to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
Your key responsibilities will include:
• Leading day-to-day operations of the finance team, including revenue reporting, recognition, and billing.
• Managing internal and external financial reporting & compliance, including audit process oversight and working paper preparation.
• Guiding the implementation of strategic business plans.
• Developing robust financial and tax strategies.
• Overseeing the capital request and budgeting processes.
• Establishing performance measures that align with the company’s strategic goals.
• Managing payroll and human resources functions.
About You
We’re looking for a candidate who embodies professionalism, adaptability, and a results-oriented mindset.
Desired qualifications include:
• High integrity, an impeccable work ethic, and meticulous attention to detail.
• Broader financial reporting experience is an asset, with preference given to candidates holding a CPA designation.
• Familiarity with US GAAP (preferred but not mandatory).
• Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal. • Ability to thrive independently while valuing the power of collaboration.

This role reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer and is based at our vibrant downtown Vancouver HQ. Compensation is competitive and includes stock options and comprehensive benefits. Play MPE is a subsidiary of Destiny Media Technologies.
