Camunda Platform Engineer
📍 Toronto, ON (Hybrid)
💰 Salary Range: $90,000 – $120,000 CAD
Our client, a global technology consulting and digital transformation firm, is seeking a Camunda Platform Engineer to support enterprise workflow and process automation initiatives.
This role will focus on designing, deploying, and maintaining Camunda-based workflow platforms while supporting scalable infrastructure and automation pipelines within a modern cloud-native environment.
The Opportunity
The Camunda Platform Engineer will play a key role building and supporting enterprise process orchestration platforms used to automate complex business workflows. You will work closely with development teams, platform engineers, and business stakeholders to ensure process applications are reliable, scalable, and optimized for performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain Camunda platform infrastructure
- Deploy and support Camunda environments using Docker and Kubernetes
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for process applications
- Support automated testing, build processes, and application deployment
- Monitor process performance using Camunda Operate, Tasklist, and Optimize
- Troubleshoot incidents and identify performance bottlenecks
- Optimize system performance and scalability across the platform
- Collaborate with engineering teams to support workflow and process automation initiatives
What We Are Looking For
- Strong hands-on experience with Camunda Platform (version 7 or 8)
- Experience with BPMN and DMN workflow modeling and execution
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience working within cloud-based environments such as OpenShift or similar platforms
- Experience building and supporting CI/CD pipelines
- Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, SQL, etc.)
- Experience working with message brokers such as Kafka or RabbitMQ
- Strong troubleshooting and performance optimization skills
