Branded Products Account Manager (BAM)
Position Overview:
The Branded Products Account Manager (BAM) is responsible for driving branded product sales across Canada and the USA. This role combines strategic account management with brand promotion to increase market share, build strong retail partnerships, and meet or exceed sales targets. Working cross-functionally, the BAM leads execution at both head office and store levels, aligning brand strategy with in-market results.
Position Objectives:
Develop and execute customer-focused sales and marketing strategies to grow branded product distribution, revenue, and brand presence across priority retail channels.
Key Responsibilities:
•Lead branded product sales execution with major accounts, including annual planning, quarterly reviews, and promotional sell-ins.
•Take responsibility for sales targets and strive to achieve them
•Develop markets and customers, and expand sales channels to drive sales growth.
•Build and manage strong relationships with head office and in-store contacts to drive volume, visibility, and velocity.
•Develop and implement account-specific promotional calendars and in-store merchandising programs.
•Conduct regular store visits to support product launches, resets, and staff engagement.
•Collaborate with internal teams (Sales, Marketing, Trade, and Supply Chain) to ensure flawless execution of product availability, pricing, and promotional alignment.
•Monitor and analyze customer performance, market trends, and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities.
•Manage account budgets and promotional spend (BDF), ensuring ROI and compliance with forecast.
•Present new products and brand initiatives to customers, supporting innovation launches and long-term brand health.
•Support marketing campaigns, trade shows, and branded events to elevate customer engagement and brand awareness.
Skills & Abilities:
•Proven sales ability with a track record of delivering results in key account, retail, or CPG environments.
•Strong negotiation, influence, and relationship-building skills at both head office and store level.
•Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to different stakeholders.
•Analytical mindset with proficiency in sales forecasting, budgeting, and promotional ROI analysis.
•Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work cross-functionally.
•Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and analytics tools (e.g., Power BI).
•Innovative, adaptable, and solutions-oriented under pressure.
•Proficiency in Mandarin is an asset.
Qualifications:
•5+ years of experience in sales, account management, or brand management, preferably in CPG or the pet industry.
•Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field considered an asset .
•Experience working with large chain retailers across Canada and/or the USA.
•Valid Passport with the ability to cross international boarders
