AWS Cloud Data Engineer
📍 Toronto, ON (Hybrid)
Salary Range: $115K – $120K CAD
Our client, a global technology consulting and digital transformation firm, is seeking an AWS Cloud Data Engineer to support enterprise data initiatives and cloud-based data platform development.
This role will focus on building and optimizing scalable data pipelines on AWS, working with large datasets across multiple sources to enable analytics and business insights.
The Opportunity
As an AWS Cloud Data Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and implementing end-to-end data pipelines, ensuring data quality, reliability, and performance across cloud environments. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact data solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement data pipelines on AWS cloud platforms
- Work with large volumes of data from multiple internal and external sources
- Perform data cleansing, validation, and transformation
- Develop and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using Python and SQL
- Leverage AWS services including Glue, Lambda, Redshift, Athena, S3, and EC2
- Implement and monitor logging, alerting, and monitoring using CloudWatch
- Build and support CI/CD pipelines for data deployments
- Manage workflow orchestration using Airflow or AWS Step Functions
- Support deployment of solutions across multiple environments
- Collaborate with stakeholders across engineering, analytics, and business teams
What We Are Looking For
- Experience designing and building data pipelines in cloud environments (AWS preferred)
- Strong hands-on experience with Python and SQL for ETL development
- Experience working with AWS services such as Glue, Lambda, Redshift, Athena, and S3
- Experience handling large-scale data processing and transformation
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes
- Experience with workflow orchestration tools such as Airflow or Step Functions
- Strong understanding of data quality, validation, and cleansing processes
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
