Our client is in the building materials industry. They are looking for a full-time Outside Sales Representative to join their team.
This role covers Eastern Ontario — responsible for the areas surrounding Kingston (Kingston is covered separately), extending approximately 150 km along the Highway 401 and Highway 7 corridors.
This is a true outside sales hunting role focused on generating new business and growing territory revenue – you will not be responsible for servicing existing house accounts.
The right candidate will understand the residential construction industry and know how to build trust with contractors.
Some of your key responsibilities in this role will include:
- Visiting job sites and building relationships
- Prospecting and opening new contractor and builder accounts
- Measure job sites for take-off accuracy
- Produce quotes and follow up on opportunities
- Reactivating dormant accounts
- Managing your own territory, pipeline, and customer schedules
Qualifications:
- A minimum of five years proven experience in residential construction, building materials, or trades
- Proven experience in outbound B2B sales
- Comfortable walking onto job sites and starting conversations
- Self-motivated and organized with strong follow-through
- Valid Ontario driver’s licence and reliable vehicle
