Our client is seeking an Accounting Clerk to join their family office on a contract basis to cover a maternity leave. The Accounting Clerk will provide essential support in managing financial records, processing transactions, and assisting with administrative accounting tasks to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Responsibilities:
Perform daily accounting and journal entries.
Maintain and reconcile financial records, accounts, and statements.
Prepare and process invoices, receipts, and expense reports.
Ensure accuracy of data entry and adherence to budget guidelines.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
Prepare information for distribution to the CFO using appropriate systems.
Filing and organizing financial documents.
Additional duties and special projects as requested.
Required Skills and Knowledge:
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Experience with Sage accounting software.
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
Education and Experience:
3+ years of accounting experience.
Experience with Sage accounting software is required.
