For more than 40 years, they have specialized in advanced material handling, dust control, and grain cleaning solutions that serve large commercial processors and on-farm operations alike.
The Opportunity
As the organization continues to grow, we are seeking a hands-on and driven Operations Manager to play a key role in building process, structure, and efficiency across the business. This is an exceptional opportunity for an individual who thrives on creating systems, improving workflow, and driving operational excellence within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Reporting to the General Manager, this person will take ownership of building a quality management system, developing standard operating procedures (SOPs), and strengthening scheduling, inventory flow, shipping, and logistics processes. They will collaborate closely with the production supervisor and cross-functional teams to ensure that operations run smoothly and effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a Quality Management System to ensure consistency and continuous improvement across operations.
- Design, document, and roll out Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for production, scheduling, and logistics.
- Create structure around scheduling, inventory flow, and shipping to improve coordination between departments.
- Partner with the production supervisor to identify and remove bottlenecks, improve communication, and support production efficiency.
- Build strong internal processes that support scalability, accuracy, and accountability.
- Lead initiatives to enhance cost control, reduce waste, and improve overall productivity.
- Take ownership of challenges, lead with initiative, and foster a culture of accountability and teamwork.
- Provide leadership and mentorship within operations, driving engagement and excellence across the team.
Qualifications and Experience
- Proven experience in manufacturing or operations management, preferably within equipment or industrial product manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of process improvement, quality systems, and workflow optimization.
- Experience in inventory, scheduling, or logistics coordination within a production environment.
- Demonstrated ability to build structure and lead change within a growing business.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- A proactive, hands-on leader who “does what it takes” to get the job done.
