Our client is a leading company in the industrial solutions sector. They are seeking a full-time Inside Sales Engineer to provide technical support to Field Sales Engineers and manage a portfolio of B2B customers on-site in Montreal, Quebec.
This is a technical sales role focused on consultative selling, account management, and supporting business growth through inside sales activities. The position offers a clear path towards career growth.
Some of your key responsibilities in this role will include:
- Serving as inside technical support for Field Sales Engineers and managing assigned customer accounts while developing new business.
- Providing technical selections and application support.
- Managing the full inside sales cycle, including lead qualification, opportunity tracking, quoting, and closing.
- Building strong relationships with customer stakeholders through consultative selling, primarily via phone, video calls, and email.
- Collaborating with internal teams (Sales, Projects, Technical, Service, Business Development) to deliver superior customer value.
- Maintaining accurate CRM records, forecasts, and opportunity pipeline data.
- Supporting energy-saving and process productivity initiatives in collaboration with Field Sales Engineers.
- Participating in occasional customer visits and minimal travel (10–20%) as required.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of B2B sales experience in a technical or commercial role.
- Must have a valid driver’s license, a reliable vehicle, and a clean driver’s abstract.
- Recognized technical or business qualification, or equivalent experience in a similar industry (engineering degree/diploma preferred).
- French and English bilingualism required.
- Strong consultative selling skills and ability to manage customer portfolios.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with CRM systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics) and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work primarily on-site in Montreal, with occasional travel in the field alongside the outside sales team.
