We are seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to oversee the lifecycle, performance, and reliability of industrial assets including cardlock systems, dispensers, pumps, tanks, and physical property infrastructure. This role plays a key part in supporting organizational growth through new site development, asset upgrades, and strong operational leadership.
You will lead a high-performing facilities and property operations team, support major capital projects, and ensure all sites meet regulatory, safety, and environmental standards across Western Canada.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead and inspire a safety-focused facilities team, including a Maintenance Coordinator and Facilities Lead.
- Reinforce company standards and build a culture of accountability, pride, and engagement.
- Hold coordinators and contractors to high performance, communication, and process standards.
- Develop strong processes for managing and purchasing key assets.
Asset Lifecycle Management
- Oversee the acquisition, deployment, maintenance, and decommissioning of cardlock and tank rental assets.
- Maintain an accurate asset register and plan timely asset replacements or refurbishments.
Project Management
- Plan and execute upgrades, expansions, and tank deployments.
- Manage contractors, vendors, and internal resources to ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget.
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory, environmental, and safety standards across Western Canada.
- Maintain inspection logs, certifications, and environmental documentation.
Financial Oversight
- Manage project budgets and track lifecycle costs.
- Recommend capital investments and support pricing and ROI analysis for tank rentals.
Site Selection & Development
- Identify and evaluate potential new sites for cardlock and tank rental expansion.
- Conduct market research, assess permitting and zoning requirements, and lead build-outs from concept to launch.
Stakeholder & Vendor Support
- Serve as the primary contact for internal stakeholders, vendors, service partners, and clients regarding asset-related issues.
- Provide timely communication and support to ensure smooth operations.
Tools & Systems
- SharePoint, Outlook, project management software
- Fuel/tank monitoring systems
- Standard office and field tools for site visits
Physical & Travel Requirements
- Regular travel across Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba (up to 4 days per month).
- Ability to inspect equipment, climb ladders/stairs, and navigate construction and field environments.
- Combination of office, remote, and site-based work with standard Monday–Friday hours (with flexibility as needed).
Qualifications
- 5+ years experience in Industrial Facilities Management or Industrial Property Management, OR
- 5+ years Mechanical Engineering Project Management experience (Engineering Technician or Junior Engineer) managing projects and small teams.
- Knowledge of cardlock systems, fuel handling, or industrial equipment is considered an asset.
- Strong project management skills with experience overseeing multiple contractors and tight timelines.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and financial management ability.
- Based in Edmonton or Lloydminster with ability to travel across Western Canada.
